St. Clare of Assisi is the patron saint of those with eye disease, embroiderers, laundry workers, needle workers, telephones, and television. St. Clare’s name means “clear” and “bright,” which is why she has been dedicated as the patron saint of those with eye disease. Because Clare was said to have seen an image of the mass on the wall of her sickroom, she is the patron saint of television. She is also the patron of embroiderers, gold workers, and laundry workers.
The reverse of this card includes a prayer to Saint Clare.
